Vivian

Vivian came into our care about a month ago from an up-island pound, where sadly she was never claimed. When she arrived, she was in very rough condition, but after plenty of love, good nutrition, and veterinary care, she has really blossomed.

Vivian has now seen the veterinarian twice and has been given a clean bill of health. She is fully up to date on all of her veterinary care, including being spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated. She is guesstimated to be 2 years old.

This sweet girl is incredibly affectionate. In fact, when she first arrived, she seemed absolutely starved for attention and would become distressed when left alone. We suspect that fear of losing affection was part of the trauma she experienced before coming into care. Over the past month, she has made a lot of progress and is learning that she is safe, loved, and not going to be abandoned.

Vivian was missing quite a bit of fur due to a heavy flea infestation and poor nutrition, but her coat is growing back beautifully and she is looking better every day.

She is a really great cat who will form a deep bond with her person. Vivian would thrive in a home where she receives plenty of companionship and attention. She would be an excellent match for someone who is retired, works from home, or simply spends a lot of time with their pets. A home where she is left alone for long periods would likely not be the best fit for her.

Vivian is currently living in foster care with another cat but we feel she would do best as an only cat.
