Pierre

Pierre came into our care with his very shy mom and sister after they were found living under a shed in downtown Victoria in horrible conditions. Concerned residents reached out for help, and we were able to bring them to safety.

Pierre took some time to come out of his shell, but during that period he developed neurological FIP. His decline was sudden. He completely lost his his vision and began falling over when he walked. FIP can appear incredibly quickly, and the symptoms often progress just as fast.

Thankfully, our vet was able to squeeze Pierre in right away and discuss the newer treatment options now available for FIP. That medication was incredible; within 3 days he made improvements and he continued on the medication for 84 days. Pierre made an incredible recovery, and even regained his vision.

Today, he’s thriving in a loving home with a beautiful cat sister by his side.
