Moss & Acorn
Moss and Acorn went off to their new home yesterday, and we couldn’t be happier that these two sweet brothers get to stay together!
These boys absolutely adore each other. They spend hours playing and wrestling together, then happily curl up in your arms together and sleep beside you. They are the perfect pair.
Moss and Acorn were originally trapped by our friends at Foster Kritters Feral Cat Rescue - Society along with their mama. Without that intervention, these little ones may never have had the chance to experience the safe, loving life they have today.
Their feral mom has been spayed and returned to the outdoor life she knows and is comfortable with, where she will continue to be fed and sheltered. But her kittens have a very different future, thankfully! They will be cherished indoor companions, loved and cared for, and will never have to struggle to survive.
This is exactly why rescue and spay/neuter programs matter. One family changed the course of three lives.
Thank you to everyone who helps make these happy endings possible!
-------- Moss and Acorn Are Ready to Find Their Family!
These two sweet and beautiful brothers will be ready for adoption after June 30th, once they receive their booster vaccines.
Moss and Acorn are still a little too young for us to be comfortable scheduling their neuter surgeries just yet, but their neuters are included in their adoption fee and will be completed at Countryside Animal Hospital when they are 4-5 months old.
These boys came into care as feral kittens and have made incredible progress. While they are still quite shy with new people, they continue to gain confidence every day. They will need a patient family that understands they may take some time to settle in. A small room to start, plenty of playtime, and lots of gentle encouragement will help them continue to blossom.
Because they are still building confidence, Moss and Acorn would not be a good fit for a home with young children. They have not been exposed to dogs or small kids while in care.
They are healthy, happy little 11 week old kittens who love being together, and we would love to see them find a family willing to give them the time they need to thrive. They are very affectionate with their foster mum, and both will happily curl into you and sleep thru most of the night!
Moss and Acorn are two young brothers who recently joined our rescue after being trapped alongside their feral mama.
They’re still a little shy with new people, but at this age their confidence grows almost daily. At just 8 weeks old, they’re heading to the vet tomorrow for their first exams and vaccinations.
These handsome boys aren’t quite ready for adoption yet, but when they are, they’ll be looking for a home together.
If you’d like to help support their care, donations of food can be purchased and set aside for them at Bosley’s on Yates. They are currently enjoying:
Acana First Feast kibble
Acana Kitten canned food
Royal Canin Mother & Babycat canned food
Thank you for helping us give Moss and Acorn the best possible start in life!
