Mike

Adoption Pending It’s hard to understand how a beautiful cat like Mike could end up sitting in the pound, skinny, scruffy, defeated, and with no one ever looking for him.

Mike came into our care a couple of weeks ago, and despite everything he had clearly been through, he never stopped loving people. It’s obvious that at some point in his life, someone cared for him. He is incredibly affectionate and charmed absolutely everyone he met. When I picked him up after his neuter appointment, the entire vet clinic was talking about what a wonderful cat he was.

We’re so happy that Mike has now gone off on a foster-to-adopt arrangement while we, and his new family, make sure that he and their resident cat become good friends. So far, things are looking very promising. Mike wasn’t phased at all by other cats, and their resident cat seems completely relaxed, happily sniffing under the bedroom door while Mike settles in and everyone gets used to one another.

We don’t have many great pictures of Mike yet. His coat is still pretty rough and he’s much too thin, but he’s already on the right track. We can’t wait to see him in a few months with a full belly, a glossy coat, and the happy life he deserves.
