Leah and Larry have been adopted

These two sweet souls came into our care at the beginning of May. Like so many neglected kittens born outside, they arrived with upper respiratory infections, fleas, worms, and low body weight. Thankfully, with good nutrition, vet care, and a little time, these are things we can usually get under control.

But Leah’s story took a more serious turn. She began developing a cough and becoming lethargic, and was diagnosed with FIP.

Thankfully, she was able to start treatment right away. Her amazing foster parents were willing to administer her medications, take her back and forth to the vet for rechecks, and give her the time and stability she needed. This meant Leah never had to go through the added stress of a move while she was sick. And when you're fighting FIP, keeping stress to a minimum is so important.

Leah made it through treatment and is officially cured! .

And the best part? She got to head off to her new home with her brother Larry by her side. They are already settling in beautifully and have landed in a wonderful home where we know they will be very loved.

We couldn't be happier for these two. After everything they went through, they truly deserve their happily ever after.
