Cypress
Cypress came into our care as an older feral kitten, one of four siblings. From the start, he was the most shut down and fearful of the group. While he was placed in an experienced foster home alongside some very social, confident cats, he lagged behind his siblings in learning to trust people. His siblings all blossomed and have since been adopted into loving homes with other friendly cats.
Cypress, however, took a different path. For a while, we worried he might not come around.
Cypress has discovered that he loves indoor life. He absolutely thrives with other cats, and while he’s still cautious, he’s formed a quiet bond with his foster mom. He may always be a bit shy with people, but anyone who has worked with former feral cats knows how much they can continue to grow and surprise you over time.
Cypress is now ready for a home of his own. He will need a very patient, understanding adopter and must have at least one confident, friendly cat companion. He’ll take time to settle in and may have a few setbacks along the way.
He’s the kind of cat who will be nearby, share your space, and likely curl up with you, but always on his own terms.
Cypress is just under a year old, and he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been fed a high-quality diet.
Cypress is the type of cat who will hide when you go to meet him, so we are looking for a foster-to-adopt situation where he can have time to settle in and connect with his new home. He is not suited for a home with kids. He has been around dogs and is good with them.
If you think you could offer Cypress the safe, loving home he needs, please complete an adoption application.
